Quilt Market Day 2

“It’s up early again for us–class at 8 am on a new Clover pressing tool for Allen. I found a historic church close by. It’s easy to go to and still meet up with Allen before the doors open.

We found SO MANY cool things yesterday! New fabric in new weights (you’ll just have to “weight and see”) and fantastic project ideas for all of it. We are happy to say there’s lots for the Florida life and style here in Houston.

We covered almost half of the booths with extended stays at certain ones where orders were placed. Allen checked out a new long arm in the Janome booth. All of the exhibitors are so warm and friendly and eager to share their talents, and it’s not so crowded that you can’t linger with those of particular interest.

Fall 2013 Quilt MarketLast night was a very festive Kaufmann event where we met a new Babylock dealer from another part of Florida–they will be great dealers for a great brand! And we stepped into a photo booth and the result generated enough laughing to last a week.

We’ll have lots more to share after today–Westminster Fiber and the Checker booth will be highlights. But amid these giants of the industry, it is so fun to find shiny nuggets of new talent emerging and we will certainly be on the lookout for the best of the best for KMIS!”
