Quilt Market, Day 1
Wake up calls were very early this morning. We didn’t want to miss a minute of opening day.
At O’Dark-Thirty we hit the streets of downtown Houston to make our way to market. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we arrived at the George R Brown Convention Center. It’s HUGE!
I’ve always wanted to go on a quilting cruise! The convention center is made to look like one–it stretches many city blocks.
We headed in, excited about our 8:00 am classes. Allen took a Floriani software class and I took an “Art Quilt Maps” class.”
“I finished my class and headed to the front doors. Everyone else had the same idea! I couldn’t help but peak in the windows to see what was waiting for us.
We spent all day exploring, visiting with old friends and making new ones.
Now we’re relaxing with a few Ruffled Tampa Tote fans. Annette has groupies! Tomorrow is another jam packed day.
