Foundation Paper Piecing for Beginners
In this class, we will introduce and practice the technique of foundation paper piecing. We will be using a pattern called Tesselation by Alison Glass to hone our skills, but we will not complete a quilt within the scope of this class. Participants will learn the basics and practice different pattern pieces, leaving the students with a collection of beautiful triangles that can be made into a quilt using the skills learned after the class has ended. This would be an excellent class to take if you have never tried Foundation paper piecing and aspire to make intricate quilt tops like those in the Animal Quilts book. Anyone taking the Peacock class would benefit from starting with this class, especially if they are new to sewing.
Skill Level: Beginner (must know the basics of sewing and using a sewing machine.)
Educator: Sarah Goralewicz
