O Christmas Gnomes
October 16, 2021Gnomes are wildly popular these days. We are seeing them in fabrics as well as a variety of projects and home decor items.
Pattern available online hereMalya at KMIS made the most adorable wall hanging with the gnome-theme. ‘O Christmas Gnomes’ is a pattern by Around the Bobbin. It was fun to watch her put it all together.
The pattern includes instructions for two sizes:
Short (5 rows) approximately 45″ high X 16-1/2″ wide
Tall (6 rows) approximately 53″ high X 19″ wide (Malya made this one.)
Per Around the Bobbin: The quilt is constructed row-by-row. The bodies are made by strip-piecing body strips with background strips to create even spacing for the geometric tree shape. After the rows are completed, the rows are centered and sewn together, and the sides are trimmed.

Penny watched in fascination as Malya did all the piecing, applique, and binding using the LAURASTAR Smart I and the BERNINA 770. She’s always amazed how quilters make the BERNINA and the BSR sing. So many pieces, but SEW worth the outcome!
